Moved to Vietnam, drove a motorbike, traveled by myself, worked in a law firm, I could go on and on and on...
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don’t think I’ve ever consciously made a New Year’s resolution.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes, my cousin.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Unless you mean physically close.
5. What countries did you visit?
Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Vietnam.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A plan.
7. What dates from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 7th- Char’s wedding, September 1st- the day my brother got married, September 15th- the day I moved to Vietnam
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting a new job & learning to ride a motorbike
9. What was your biggest failure?
I can’t think of any…currently not buying more flashcards.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
In sha’allah, nothing serious.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My shiny new blue helmet, my shiny silver motorbike, my colorful Hmong wall-hanging.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My parents, as usual.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Thankfully 2007 has been relatively drama free!
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent & air travel.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Brother’s wedding, sleeping in for the summer, Harry Potter 7, various movies.

Colorful by Rocco Deluca, Umbrella by Rihanna, any Fall Out Boy song, Stronger by Kanye West.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Reading, networking.

Watching Top Chef. I saw the appetizer episode about 20 times.

At HOME, baby.

Not in a romantic sense.

Zero.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Gossip Girl, hands down. Although I was converted to Top Chef.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No.
26. What was the best book you read?
Four Souls, 3 Cups of Tea or The Zanzibar Chest. It was a good year for books.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The magical world of Punk-pop.
28. What did you want and get?
A change from the norm and the opportunity to travel.
29. What did you want and not get?
A purpose in life…and a Nintendo Wii.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I haven’t seen many of the fall-winter films and I hated most of the three-quels, but I did really like Live Free or Die Hard.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I worked and then met John, Jui and Jackie for dinner and drinks at the Tombs before walking (I think?) back to Meghan & John’s apartment to crash and stopping at Lucky Bar for a beer on the way.
32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Sadly, my answer is more money. Air travel is just so expensive.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
“I hate work clothes” rebellious.
34. What kept you sane?
Friends.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
James McAvoy? Pete Wentz? Patrick Stump? Brad Pitt?
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Iraq.
37. Who did you miss?
2007 ranged from no one to everyone.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
All the people in Hanoi- I don’t think I can rank them.

Taking the road less traveled is awesome.
